Okay, I realize that I'm good lately very much on writing reviews.During these dark days I love to curl up with a book. Evening with a nice mug of tea on the sofa So I've recently read quite a lot and also like to have a review to write. Lekkerraw this time turn!
Beautiful Photography
What immediately strikes me is that Lekkerraw and like a nice big book with big letters, and beautiful photography. Each recipe includes a nice picture of the final result. I'm quite visually oriented and would like to make me a picture when I see a recipe and for that matter, this book is really great.
Clear explanation for starting raw foodies
The book begins with a piece about the writer Sandra Fox which they clearly explain why they passed on raw food and how well they feel there. Then she shows you how to follow a raw lifestyle gives them tips and advice. She is also extensively example superfoods, in collaboration with Jesse van der Velde, she explains how you can easily get your food from the garden and grow. Out of your kitchen through your own seedlings And why juices and smoothies now so incredibly good for you and belong entirely in the raw lifestyle and what flavor combinations you can make all of vegetables, fruit, superfoods and sweeteners. Because nuts are eaten by many raw foodies there is a lot written about. I can go on and on about all the fun chapters with basic explanations contained in this book, which of course is super convenient for the starting raw foodies among us.
Delicious recipes
In Lekkerraw are also another delicious recipes for smoothies, juices but also, for example a special salad of red cabbage. I've never eaten raw red cabbage itself so of course I had to try this recipe once. There are also a number of recipes that I have come across in several books (I read it too much) but that should not spoil the fun, how you can make your own notes for example milk or kale chips. My absolute highlight of this book are really the hemp seed walnut crackers with guacamole. I myself love guacamole and I with these crackers is extra tasty. Ohh you should anyway have a drying machine in order to make them, or put them in your oven if it is in a very low level.
What I also found very funny was the recipe for the veggie burgers that your fruit pulp recycled, for example, your smoothie / juice. I never stopped to think that I could reuse in a vegetable burger that pulp (I make it because of vegetable).
Finally, the fermented vegetable salad definitely on my to do list. That is a salad vegetable that you cut a few days in a preserving jar with vinegar, and put away the water so the vegetables will ferment and therefore healthy intestinal bacteria arise.
